Hi Mona, firstly can you explain a little more about the DLISH concept?
We at DLISH create distinctive gift boxes for people who appreciate exemplary tastes and artistic products from around the world, and most of all, we do it with passion. Inside each DLISH box, there is a story waiting to be told and tastes waiting to be discovered.
Stemming from our continuous curiosity for finding the highest quality of food and drinks, paired with our utmost fascination for art and design, DLISH brings together a carefully chosen selection of items for people that enjoy “the finer things in life”.
What does food design mean to you?
As we say at DLISH, food design is bringing together good taste and adding a lot of fun to it.
Why do you think gifts are so important for us humans?
We call crave joy and happiness and there is no better way of experiencing that, than being pleasantly surprised and delightfully treated.
What makes DLISH gifts so special?
DLISH gifts have been carefully curated with the individual in mind. Our boxes focus around the pleasure that one gets when creating an atmosphere around a meal what that meal is presented in. Our boxes create stories for our clients to retell and journeys for everyone to taste their way through.
How do you select your products and where do the products come from?
Our products come mainly from Italy, but it is our mission to select and procure the finest and rarest items from all around the world - both in the food and design industries.
Which emerging designer do you think needs to be talked about more? I think that some of the most talented designers today are coming from regions of the world that have had to lived under repression or war, countries like Iran, Syria, Nigeria, etc. In our constant search for talent, we discover the undiscovered in these regions.
