Intern zine: Jeanne's week one

WEEK ONE - exploring Dalston and more

Freshly arrived in London the weekend before starting my internship, I could already discover my neighbourhood, Dalston!

In love with food I visited cool shops around, like Harvest E8, an organic shop. Here I found goat butter, which I never tried before. Then I found The Dusty Knuckle Bakery, and I’ve took the « House Sour » bread to go with the goat butter. Really nice!

Visited the cute and colourful Columbia Road Flower Market and ate arepas in Brick Lane.

Happened to find a great and cool place next to the Ridley Road Market, the Ridley Road Social Club. Go here if you want to discover a big place where you can have good food, good coffee, good music. They apparently also do a lot of events here!

I went to Soho; I walked a lot and tried Shake Shack for the first time, I have loved the cheese fries. Had a a bubble tea.

On Friday I went to the Barbican centre to see the « Into the Night » exhibition about Cabaret and Clubs in modern art.

Have a look at Theo van Doesburg’s works for L’Aubette.

I went to Camden, visited the market and ate a not so good fish & chips, but maybe I’ll taste a better one in the next weeks! Then I walked to Harrods via Primrose & Regent’s Park and finally ate the Loved Fox by Yann Couvreur at his pop up café. So good!

See you next week!
