Material Designers: a platform for food innovation in a new way

If you could create any type of material to build any sort of object what would you do, and with what purpose?

We all hear about what food can give us, everything from pigments to fibers, food is probably already the next material, and it is our job to give it another use in the most efficient, social and natural way.

Material Designers is a competition, event series and platform devoted to realising the positive impact material designers can have across all creative sectors.

They create the opportunity to enhance a brighter future for multiple industries by becoming agents of change, redesign, reusing, reforming and redefining materials in order to make the best of it and increasing their potential by using technology, new techniques and other methods.

It’s this place where experimentation is the main activity, where people combine multiple materials to create not only more interest and new ones but to promote interaction between people and to continue with the study and research about it.

The fact of having the possibility to redesign the future by creating a material out of almost any source is great news, we have the chance to change objects and activities by creating them with a different impact not only ecologically, but socially and even economically.

Follow the work of this material designers, learn more about what you could experiment and how you can also become an agent of change.
